Romans 13:14 But put on the Lord jesus Christ, and make no provisions for the flesh to gratify its desires
What Does It Mean to IMMERSE Yourself?
Why IMMERSE?
Every week, near the end of our church service, people are given the opportunity to turn from their sins, repent, and begin a relationship with Jesus. One Sunday morning I wondered what happened to those people after they accepted Christ. Did they dig into God's word or return to the world? Did their faith grow or grow cold? Did that newfound faith flourish or flounder? I knew at that moment that these new believers needed to immerse themselves in the disciplines of God if their faith was going to grow.
Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, the idea of the IMMERSE acrostic began to take shape back in 2010. Today we are making inspirational booklets and journal kits available to help you in your faith journey.
Regardless of where we find ourselves, we must immerse ourselves in God's word, Prayer, and several other 'disciplines' that will allow us to draw near to our Savior and live a life of faith in Him.
